An Electric Blue Forum in the Midlands Region on 3rd July 2019
Back by popular demand, we are working in collaboration with East Midlands Councils to invite local authorities to our upcoming forum in the Midlands region. Places are filling up fast, but there’s always room for more, so make sure you reserve your spot now by emailing: email@example.com
The forum will take place in the The Civic Suite Melton, at Melton Borough Council, on Wednesday 3rd July, from 10.00am - 2.00pm. It is fully funded by Electric Blue and free to attend.
“Driving The Uptake Of Electric Vehicles and EV Infrastructure” will cover all aspects of developing electric vehicle (EV) strategies, including:
- Charging infrastructure and charger audits
- Uptake of Ultra Low Emissions Vehicles
- Programmes to assist taxis and fleets to convert to electric
- On street / car park charging
- Discussions around Clean Air Zones and Geofencing
- Electric Blue Electrify campaigns, currently being rolled out by NECA and Watford Councils
- Solutions consultancy project to help develop a working and viable EV strategy
The three main topics of conversation we will be focusing on are: analysis of fleet data, creating EV strategies, and smart-monitoring of charging bays.
Our previous forums have been widely successful, in York (YALPAG), Manchester (TfGM) and Newcastle (NECA), and we have now been invited to share this event in the Midlands region. With 40-50 local authorities represented at each forum, we are delighted to see the encouraging movement for greater EV uptake, and will be expecting the same level of interest in Melton.
Returning key speakers from: DEFRA/JAQU, IKEA, and SMMT, will be joined by a guest speaker from Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stoke and Stafford Councils, representing the OLEV2 Staffordshire Consortium.
As well as the insightful talks from our key speakers, panel sessions and workshops, there will be refreshments, lunch and plenty of networking opportunities all included. EV demo vehicles will also be on-site to exhibit what is currently available on the EV market.
If you are looking to improve or grow your EV strategy, or drive the uptake of EVs in your constituency, we encourage and welcome your attendance. Invitations are open to all local authorities within East Midlands Councils, along with other councils from around the Midlands/East region. If you or a colleague are from a local business, or NHS Trust, with an interest in this field, please join us or pass this invitation along, and discover what EVs can offer you.
We look forward to welcoming you on the 3rd July!
